Alpha Imaging and Intervention Centre provides cutting-edge digital imaging technology. Our advanced Digital Radiography unit replaces traditional X-ray machines, offering a lower radiation dose while delivering superior image quality.
With this technology, patients no longer need to wait for standard X-ray films to be developed. Instead, scan data is instantly converted into digital format and displayed on a computer screen. The images are then electronically transmitted to our radiologist for reporting. For patients referred from medical clinics that receive reports and images digitally, the time spent at our clinic is minimized. These patients can leave immediately after the image is taken by our technical staff, without waiting for results.
Patient Information
Digital X-Ray
Digital X-ray is an advanced medical imaging method that captures detailed images of the body using digital sensors instead of traditional film. This technology enhances diagnosis and treatment by providing clearer images with reduced radiation exposure.
Benefits:
✅ Immediate Results: Digital X-rays provide instant images, allowing quick assessment.
✅ Enhanced Image Quality: Adjustable digital images improve visualization for more accurate diagnoses.
✅ Reduced Radiation Exposure: Digital X-ray systems often use lower radiation doses compared to traditional methods.
✅ Electronic Record Keeping: Your digital X-rays are stored electronically for efficient record-keeping and easy access by healthcare providers.
Procedure:
1️⃣ Preparation: No special preparation is usually required. You may be asked to remove jewelry or metallic objects.
2️⃣ During the Procedure: A radiologic technologist will position you for the X-ray. It’s important to remain still for a brief moment during exposure.
3️⃣ Post-Procedure: Once the images are captured, you can resume normal activities. Results will be analyzed and discussed with your healthcare provider.
Safety:
⚠️ Radiation Exposure: While digital X-rays use lower radiation doses, please inform us if you are pregnant or suspect you might be.
⚠️ Medical Conditions: Inform your healthcare provider about any existing medical conditions, allergies, or recent surgeries.
